International Wine Challenge (TROPHY)

After its GOLD Medal, we are proud to announce that Château FILHOT 2011 has been awarded the SAUTERNES TROPHY Medal (best Sauternes of the competition) and the FRENCH SWEET WINE TROPHY Medal (best Sweet Wine of the competition) at the International Wine Challenge.

The International Wine Challenge (IWC) is one of the world’s finest and most meticulously judged wine competition. The IWC assesses every wine ‘blind’ and judges each wine on its faithfulness to style, region and vintage. Each medal winning wine is tasted on at least three separate occasions by a minimum of ten different judges.
All gold medal-winning wines of the competition automatically qualify for the IWC trophy tasting. The trophy tasting is judged by the Panel Chairmen and Co Chairmen who will identify the top wines in each region to award the regional trophy. These regional trophy winners are tasted against each other to decide the winner of the national trophy. The winner of this trophy is among the finest products in the world.
